We are delighted to have won funding from the Souter Charitable Trust to enable us to continue our expansion. We have received applications from several schools who would benefit significantly from having solar lights and with this funding we will be able to agree to those applications. What we do at the Mwezi Foundation is scaleable. We have the capacity to make and donate more lights. We have just placed a large order for more components, so John will be busy assembling the lights and Dorcas will have her work cut out in January, when the schools go back, distributing lights to needy schools. Elizabeth is making contact with local education authorities as well as checking how our room lights are performing in the orphanages and special needs schools we support.
